Love the walkability and the campus looks good. I just wish it had water refill stations and healthy snack vending machines. It would also be nice if they improved the uni website.

Fine overall. Mostly good teachers.

The location of the university is fantastic as it is right in the city centre, thus walkable from Any student accommodation in the area. The facilities are also great and up to date. Student support is very lacking and there needs to be more clear and approachable ways of getting support when needed.

The course brands itself as having a more hands on approach, however after maybe half an hour of being out to find news stories there is essentially no value. Students write articles and make news bulletins in a simple way, on software that is primitive at best. In 7 hour sessions the required work can be completed in less than an hour which leaves a lot of time to be filled with arguably pointless activities. We were taught how to use editing software via YouTube tutorials.

York is a very safe and amazing place for students to live. I'd say the only negative could be that the city is small, however that is a positive considering the low crime rate.

The location is great, only a 10 minute walk away from the University and right in the city centre. I did not feel safe at the property. The security team were either not present or inadequate. There were multiple occasions in which people had broken into the building to steal post, security were nowhere to be seen. Rooms were allocated swiftly with no issue. There were multiple instances where the WiFi Was out for several days, we received no compensation for this. The accommodation was cheap and that's what I got staying there, cheap. I'd say reasonable. The property was barely 'managed', the rooms were inspected every so often. I will say the maintenance team were swift when contacted.
