Really nice campus with some fantastic facilities (and upgrades and new additions keep coming). As an international student, the transition from home to the UK and to uni was made really easy by the international student support team and uni - from dedicated international student inductions and even arranging pickup from the airport. The university, as I like to put it, is close enough to London but also far enough away - just a 40 minute train ride that runs fairly often all day and week.

It's a small course, less than 60 students across all 4 years of study (at time of writing) and with some brand new facilities and industry-standard equipment. Small course size means greater lecturer contact as well as personal tutor support. Placement has been the highlight of my uni experience due to the sheer number and scale of projects I have been able to work on. Course content is highly relevant across a range of subjects and continues to grow and change with the changing dynamics of the industry as fed back via placement students and alumni.

Although Manor Park is further away from the main campus, I never had an issue with commuting each way every day during my first year - I mainly walked, but you could always source a bike or use the bus service. Daphne Jackson was an (almost) brand new set of buildings which meant the living space was really fantastic and great value for money - you'll struggle to find anything similar for the same price in Guildford. Maintenance was always prompt and security and cleaning services are great across campus halls.

Love the campus and the course. I'm less a fan of the accommodation though, but everyone's experience will be different.

The facilities available to us (such as the new TV studio are very good and resemble facilities used in industry). For some of the content it has been quite difficult to understand, and I'm not fully sure the reason why we're learning it as it seems very specialised to specific careers.

It's always so loud, and it's right next to the nightclub as well so that doesn't help. But it's close to everything on campus at least.
