Staff and students are all friendly making such a welcoming place to study. The equipment is amazing and this includes all facilities. Coming from a background with no experience can be hard when first starting so I think if maybe there was begging classes I would have helped for a better starting experience.

In the past months I have learnt a range of skills very quickly which has made the course content very fun to learn. However, sometimes you are thrown into the deep end which was overwhelming as some tasks required an understanding of skills not yet covered

one good aspect that stands out to me while studying at screen and film school is that there is always opportunities to advance your knowledge of film and to attend work experience and to talk to people who have worked in the field of film. i don’t have any negative thoughts about SFS as a whole. i’ve enjoyed my time there so far and look forward to expanding my knowledge and take part in assignments that can boost my understanding and make me more comfortable as an aspiring filmmaker. the locations are decently spread out around the town and all the teachers that i have had so far have been nice, understanding and happy to help if needed. there’s lots of support systems that are used to help their students, which i have found helpful in many ways.

some of the best aspects i have come across are that the teachers always make the time to help, there are lots of people who are in the same boat as me and are happy to talk about assignments and there is also some good support systems in place to help the students. there is always a short film module happening each semester which i find very helpful due to the fact that i feel as though it has helped boost my knowledge and confidence regarding the film industry. only negative thing i have is that we are not based in one sole campus, our lectures are spread across three.
