Great facilities and support from staff

Lecturers give us space to see them one on one if needed, regular contact hours

Unsafe at times due to break ins but management are good

My overall experience of university so far has been very enjoyable as the university is veryu chilled and I have met new people. However, due to its size in comparison t Leeds Uni and Leeds Beckett it feels more like a college so you don't witness the full university life with in terms of societies.

The universities facilities are faultless. The funding put into the course is fantastic as we have a variety of idustry standard equipment to learn from and practice using.

The support from the teachers is fantastic as they are very prominent with the replies to emails and if approached they will provide help.

The student union is great at delivering messages from the students to the board running the courses. This means feedback is often passed to our teachers and improvements are quickly made.

The university is in an excellent location, near by independent shops to get food and drinks on breaks. It is also easily accessible as it is a 15 minute walk from my house.

The university is small compared to the size of other universities therefore the volume of societies and sports teams is small to non-existent.

I like that the course is very flexible with time. The worst thing about the course however is there isn't enough practical inductions on the equipment in the second year as you are expected to know the equipment well by then but because film has a wide variety of equipment one induction at the beginning of the year is not enough to become comfortable with using it.

The university has a partnership with a representative called 'film buddy' however with the course being fairly new their is little connections between the university and industry in terms of sorting work placments. This is improving however.
