The actual university was fine. The new building has a lot of great facilities but some of them can only be used by people from that actual course. Sewing machines and work spaces can get really busy. Nice interior design and layout.

The course was actually better than I expected. I didn't feel like I was overloaded with work and stress. I feel like the actual work we did helped us with our professional portfolio. The actual topics we learnt were helpful too. Each year was kind of the same, we had two project a year and we had to research, design and create garments. The sample room tutors were really helpful in helping me create patterns however I feel like the design tutors were not that helpful. Some of them would help other students before there own which was frustrating at times (especially during final year). Also I feel like the tutors would give me negative feedback on my work after I have submitted for marking but wont mention anything during the actual process. I wish they focused more on sewing because we only had 4 lessons for each project on sewing which I feel is not much for beginners. The sewing machines do get really busy during peak exam times so I would recommend you sew at home. The uni hasn't helped anyone with life and careers after studying, you have to do that all on your own. Overall I would recommend this course however I would say be wary and always be persistent on asking for help otherwise you wont get anywhere and will end up doing a lot of self learning.
