What has this uni not got! Every sport I can think of every society, every angle of support! Livley night life, friendly staff and students, the best fashion course, the lectures are interesting and fun, I can't think of anything wrong even 24/7 library! City campus is bang in the center of nottingham!

The student union is by far the best I've seen of unis

The facilities for my course are really great and staff are very supportive, however my main struggle at university is the cost of my course, not the initial fee because SFE cover that, but with it being a creative course we have to purchase so much for it such as fabrics, paper, paints etc and don’t really get any help with all these extra costs. We also get £20 printing credit which is the same as all the other uni courses that don’t need to print anything but we end up having to top ours up as we have to print so regularly.

My course is taught very well, there’s lots of in person lessons which is perfect for workshops, we have some lectures online which I actually think is better because there’s less distraction watching it from home and being able to go back through it myself. The most difficult part is being able to afford all the extra materials needed for my course with it being practical.

There are plenty of part time jobs, however a lot of them require specific days that don’t work well around uni or want you to stay over Christmas. My job at the student union is perfect because it caters so well around my degree! With it being a city it is pretty expensive to live here but it is much cheaper than being in london and lots of places do do student discount which helps a lot.

It was a good way to be pushed out your comfort zone and meet new people, however it’s not always guaranteed that the people in your flat are going to be the people you are best friends with which I think a lot of people come to uni with that idea in mind, my flat didn’t particularly get on but it was still fun and you make new friends elsewhere! Simpsons was quite far out of town but was nice because it was slightly quieter, however the trams don’t run in that direction so it’s a good 30 minute walk to uni.
