As seen above the facilities are immaculate. The two campus’s provide a variety of educational and social spaces that students can utilise. As well as this, from my own personal experience, the support given from lecturers is amazing. This definitely helped with the some-what scary transition to university life. One main drawback that should be noted however is the lack of student nights. With Winchester being a small city it has not got any clubs or fun student places to spend time in the evenings. Because of this many people rely on the student union as a source of entertainment. However the events thrown could be better. This is a shame due to the student union being an amazing space that could be utilised better. As an event management student this is something I feel passionately towards and I have been looking further into. As a whole I’m happy with my decision of moving to Winchester University and this is something I say when helping out on open days and talking to potential future students.

The course is very enjoyable due to the close relationship made with the lecturers and classmates as it is a small cohort. One draw back that has been shared is the lack of practical experience we get from it. We’re events management students and yet we haven’t actually thrown or planned any events yet. This concern has been shared to our higher ups and is something that is being looked into. That is a positive of the course. If we have any concerns we are happy to share them with our lecturers and feel no judgement in return.

The accommodation itself is great however it can feel slightly over priced due to the limited space in the rooms.
