The best uni to study something related to hospitality because at the end of the course you have experience, due to all the networking events you get to know people from the business

I think is quite pricey for what they really offer, is like an old accomodation and you pay a lot for just a room and a tiny bathroom

Best Aspects: - The campus itself has many scenic areas such as the lakes and Essex Business School. - There are many social spots including the bars, restaurants, clubs and sports centre. - A great range of sporting opportunities offered with high class sporting facilities in the centre. - The staff are all incredibly friendly making campus feel comfortable and welcoming in all areas. - It is a unique and multicultural environment with a range of social clubs for people to mix with others. - It is good that the university celebrates all different occasions from a range of cultures and religions making the university inclusive. Improvements: - Developing day time activities. For example, doing more campus festival days where the squares have games and music for the students to socialize and get involved in. I feel like this would entice people to come onto campus during the day more often. - The exterior of both south and north towers are off-putting and drags the universities scenic campus views down as they strongly stand out. - Hosting more sporting days instead of the once every two year derby day. Possibly doing large charity sport days to raise money, increase awareness for a cause and get students involved in a fun, active day. - Outline their sustainable practices more and getting students more involved in environment week by giving them the opportunity to express ideas and have guests speakers visits throughout the week to educate students on ways to be more sustainable in day to day university life. - Do more weekend activities as there are not many events taking place during that time when students are available as there are no lectures on the weekend. Maybe doing a weekend market on squares instead of on the weekdays. - Change the market stalls every months to get a more diverse range of options as it becomes very repetitive when it’s the exact same each week. - Make the networking events on campus more specialized by hosting for different career industries instead of grouping them all together into one session.

- I am happy that all my classes are in-person as i learn better this way instead of online - Listen again is very beneficial as if a class is missed due to illness or other extenuating circumstances, then you are still able to learn the content taught in that lesson and not fall behind. It is also beneficial for students to look back on particular classes that they need to re-do in order to understand it better. - The course hours are good and spread out evenly. - My contact with lectures is good as my class is quite small compared to others but i have heard how other courses don’t feel the same on this matter due to having an excessively large amount of students in that course. However I am able to contact my lecturers with ease and get good and quick responses.

Copse was an extremely nice accommodation with big spacious kitchens and modern design. However the actual rooms themselves are small especially for the price we pay to live there. The security is not great as there were multiple instances last year where there had been break ins or kitchen robberies. The location was great as it is close to campus but not as close as the other university halls available.
