My best experience so far has been based around interaction with group projects. It’s been highly valuable to learn how to navigate interpersonal relationships with different types of people, which is valuable for general life. The worst aspect has been finding people to connect with. This may be partly due to my age difference, however I have found that group work has allowed me to develop friendships

The best aspects have been the quality of teaching in my favourite modules. They’ve all done a very good job at emphasising my existing passion for those topics. The worst aspect has been the quantity of writing and coursework. It can be quite hard to keep up with a lot of the work, but the support is very helpful.

The support from teachers/lecturers is invaluable. The business teachers were so supportive when I needed advice on a job interview which I was successful with for my summer internship. Really efficient in getting back to you and always really understanding. Mental health services need to be improved immensely. I applied for mental health help 2-3 months ago and never received anything back. I had trouble in first year with a student who was struggling mentally, was a danger to the public and I felt unsafe in my accommodation and the well-being team did not support me or make me feel safe in my home despite several phone calls and one-to-ones about my concerns. I have been really let down by the mental health team.

The majority of the lecturers are really amazing. However, lectures are supposed to be recorded for our benefit and some teachers don’t think it’s fair to record them. Without considering the impact on not recording lessons. I understand the POV that it encourages attendance although many people struggling with mental health issues that debilitate their motivation to come to lessons as well as other important reasons. We pay for the course so we should have access to all avenues to be taught the material whether teachers like to record or not, it is for the students benefit

I didn’t feel safe in my accommodation, only when my door was locked due to my previous explanation of one of my housemates having psychotic episodes due to excessive smoking of weed which I reported to the university and nothing was done about it to alleviate the lack of safety I felt in my home
