The campus is absolutely gorgeous and is one of the reasons I chose to study at Exeter. The students' guild clearly put a lot of effort in, although I feel like it'd really benefit from more nights out being held in the Ram as drinking can get quite expensive in Exeter which is a big factor in student life. The sports are amazing, as to be expected for Exeter (shout out to tennis). The location is good although the trek into campus and into town is annoying if you're in certain accommodations. It can get super expensive being in Exeter, and the private school stereotype is definitely true, so prepare yourself for second year housing prices. I haven't had to access any forms of student support but I think they are good - don’t quote me on that though!

We get a lot less contact hours than I thought we would, which is quite disappointing when you think about how much your degree costs. Constitutional law is absolutely amazing, so well taught with the loveliest lecturers ever (we love David and Richard), but the seminars are a bit lacklustre and don’t really add much to the course honestly. Contract law is quite disappointing - we are given these things called 'workshops' which aim to combine lecturers and seminars, probably to cut down on the number of staff they have to pay. One of the workshop leaders for me barely adds anything and doesn't seem to want to be there, and the other is lovely and puts in loads of effort but the workshops just aren't that useful to me, and from what I've heard from second years, they don’t improve. The online work for contract is super beneficial but it's disappointing we aren't taught that content in workshops, and I'd appreciate contract seminars to consolidate my learning in a smaller group. To be honest, I do not see the point in legal foundations. It isn't taught that well, the content isn't engaging, and the attendance for my legal foundations workshop is incredibly poor. My french constitutional module requires the most work from me, it is the most challenging but the most rewarding also. We are given 2k word essays every 2 weeks, which is difficult, and I felt like we weren't given enough guidance on them at the beginning, but now I'm quite enjoying them and it's good to be frequently examined to know where I'm at, as we don’t receive this in other modules. For the french module, we are not given a presentation, and instead we do dictation in our lectures which is quite difficult and hard to get used to as an English student, but I understand why we do this as we are following the French school system. Overall, the course wasn't entirely what I was expecting, and I think constitutional and french constitutional are taught really well, but other parts of the course have been disappointing so far.

Most: The rooms are lovely, the beds so comfortable, the building nice, the kitchen/living area spacious Least: The walk onto campus is terrible, I dread the hill every day, I know it says the walk is only 15 minutes but it is 15 minutes of pure hell.

There are lots of opportunities, it's very green. I wish there was a matriculation ceremony.

It's a challenging and competitive environment. There are plenty of resources. Sometimes the workload is under exaggerated by the faculty
