Campus is very nice and well maintained, any support that you could think of is provided and well signposted. Lecturers are open and available, good relationship and have time for you personally be it inside or outside of class hours. The new student union is very good with a wide range of facilities and well located. My degree personally does well in terms of guest speakers and guest lecturers to give you a good feel for the industry that you are working towards. The work and assignments feel like they are preparing me for life in the workplace as they are all highly relevant skills that I am developing. The McClay library is another huge benefit of the campus it is a large library meaning you will always get enough space and you don't feel like everyone is on top of each other making it much easier to effectively get work done. I have found issues with the computers in my experience some of them don't have all of the software that I would like loaded onto them and others have storage issues. In the library we are unable to use USB sticks in the computers which can become an issue when you need to have a presentation on a USB.

Lecturers are very friendly and helpful, always available be it in tutorials or outside of class time to answer any questions or provide help. The content is interesting however some of the lecture content does feel slightly irrelevant if it is not the focus of your essay and at times what is being discussed does feel like it will not be useful in my future career. Assessment is very good with continual coursework to keep you busy and a good blend of group work and individual work. The course does feel very connected to the planning profession with. guest speakers from employers and the RTPI brought in. A critique would be the computer facilities which often lack the software that we need or lack storage required for us to do any work on them.

Halls are an expensive option but the convenience of them does somewhat make up for this. Elms halls are very well located a 15 minute walk from the campus and about 20 minutes from the students union. The staff are all friendly and helpful and the top tier security makes the village feel very safe. Within the village there is a great community feel that fosters over time as everyone gets to know each other and you see the same faces walking about everyday. The wifi at times can be unreliable and depending on which block you get placed in the kitchens can either be nice or old and run down with appliances showing wear, for example my kettle has a layer of limescale that won't come off.
