Cambridge is located in a wildlife conservation hub with multiple organisations on our doorstep. This provide multiple volunteer and job opportunities for those on the same course as me, and other animal biology/behviour courses. It would be nice if the university had more greenspace - limited given the size of the university - but it would be nice if there were benches on the green spaces and more trees planted. The facilities at the university are phenomenal. I came here for my undergraduate degree (finished in 2016) and the university certainly feels the students are in thier best interest now. The science building is well equipt with modern facilities. The vegan £1 lunches are used by so many of us and is appreciated when the cost of living is having such a negative impact on students currently.

I absolutely love my course! The lecturers are very engaging and supportive, keen to make sure you get the most out of university to land you a job in the sector. There have been ample numbers of career fairs, support groups, extra curicular activities. I think the course content is broad enough to not pigeon-hole us into specifics, and relevant for us to apply to a range of jobs and skill sets. Our lectures use canvas well, providing us with lecture powerpoints a day or so before the lecture starts, relevant references and a thorough reading list. When needing to meet with lecturers outside the class, they have been enthusiastic to book a meeting and have assisted with my queries. The lecuters are very knowledgeable and inspiring. It is frustrating that the part time masters is not supported by student finance which I think will limit the number of students interested in the course - this is not the universities fault, but a decision made by the government. We have had many field trips to local reserves. It would be amazing if we could take a field trip further afield to different habitats besides fens, e.g. the coast, or mountain ranges. An optional module, study tour, is very expensive. For students to be able to afford a field trip this size and for this length, it should be more local, although i do not doubt the experience on this module will be phenomenal.

I have had many good experiences at the university especially the employment services and student support. Training for PhD is currently being improved so the university is doing very well.

Based within the Global Sustainability Institute I am very fortunate to work along a great team of academics and researchers. I was fully integrated from day 1 and have been making great progress in my research thanks to the supervisors.
