My overall uni experience so far has been amazing, the first week was tough as I didn't see much of my flatmates but since then we have got on really well. I am loving the course I have chosen so far and finding all of the assessments that I have suited to my type of learning; hands on. The city is unreal the amount of different shops, food places and clubs is incredible and I am loving my time here so far.

The university since joining has had a full week based on employability in which they invited a plethora of companies from different sector of business to help increase your chance of employability.

I love that I only have 2 lectures a week and more seminars and workshops that allow me to learn more and ask questions. I dislike the studio session we have as I feel it's pointless.

I haven't actually been to any student union events yet as I haven't really seen any advertised

I currently live in Trinity square accommodation which is situated in Gateshead. The accommodation is modern, spacious and also has a gym and common area if you want a quiet place to complete your work rather than your personal living space. 24/7 security is also available so you always feel safe and the Sodexo app makes it easy to log complaints or if you need anything fixing in your flat.

All the uni facilities from the library to the gym are all modern and well organised and suited for a busy student life.

Unreal, coming from a town myself it is a big change but from the food to the nightlife there is a variety for everyone and I'm sure most would find it easy to settle it and call it a home from home.

I have seen many advertised but haven't joined any as of yet as I wanted to get the first semester out of the way but the the range is massive.

The academic feedback and support is excellent but as of yet I have seen nothing about mental health support

Honestly it seems to me that the Uni has become a little like home when it comes to surroundings and the people around you. A very friendly and warm environment surrounds me everyday giving me the chance on a day to day basis to be able to socialise and interact with different type of people and characters from every corner of the world. Its great to see that being surrounded by a variety of people gives you the chance to see how other people think and act through the stage you are going through also. I m happy to feel that everyone is willing to help and the facilities here are so good that gives me the chance to be able to do many things i have never done before. You meet great people here that eventually create great friendships and potential business partners.

The career department of Northumbria University is equipped with the great counsellors and advisors and to be honest there have helped every student to get standing on both two feet and challenging what life has to offer!

I like the honesty of the tutors and the way they bring to the table of the information through serious teaching as well as seeing the funny and bright side of life. Always being able to make an example of what we do in the class room as it really happens in reality. There isn't much to say about bad things because the course is built so well with great structures its hard to find any negatives! Its fantastic so far and cant wait to see how the year will plan through!

Our Student Union is a fantastic way to bond with other students. Even if you don't know anyone! Its so easy to make friends and it seems that everyone is in the same 'awkward situation' of the first days at Uni and it seems that through the Student Union its a great way to meet and socialise with pretty much anyone! Events organised there are perfectly suitable for exiting personality's even for those that just want to relax after a long day of studying!

Personally as an athlete and student Northumbria University is by far one of the best facilitated place i have been so far (as I have been at many equipped training places as an athlete ). It has anything you would need for pretty much any sport! On the studying part, it has one of the best library's in the country and it has been so helpful to be able to be equipped at any time of the day with the right books and technology advantages that the uni has to offer. Northumbria has the latest technological standards that a University has to offer giving the chance for a interactive and exiting methods to teaching and learning!

Well...! Now that's a question every student wants an answer for! Newcastle city life has the best possible nightlife that the UK has to offer. It by far one of the best nights out you will have, especially as a student! Its something that you have to see it to believe it! From bars to clubs and from restaurants to movies, Newcastle has everything that a city can offer. Walking over the bridges and waling though Newcastle's historic buildings is something that will leave every person wanting to stay! The most important of all is that people are so friendly here! The famous ''Geordies'' are great fun and are very kind people to live among with.

The clubs are a great part to be in. Because you have the chance to interact with many people with similar ideas and prosperities as you may have. Socialising and sharing your ideas putting them into act with the help of other people that most times end up having great friendships with!

On a support level, the uni has been very helpful in many ways. Its safe to say that any tutor would never turn there back on any student as they always seem keen and happy to help during and after class hours. Being able to talk to them through emails any time of the day also is great because a lot of questions that you may have could appear any time of the day. Always i get a reply of the tutors and i feel that i have a good connection with them! Getting feedback from your work is essential when it comes to progress and its a fact that it help the way you study and brings great results! Feedback from tutors gives you the chance recognize your flaws in assessments and study methods as well as recognizing your efforts.
