Brilliant university! They are incredibly supportive and all the lecturers are so enthusiastic it makes such a positive impact on my learning. The social life is also fantastic, plenty of clubs in the surrounding area

The University of Portsmouth is a great place to study because it has the perfect mixture of work and fun. The course I’m studying is incredibly stimulating and I thoroughly enjoy learning about different works of literature. As well as this, it’s so easy to make friends and Portsmouth has great night life! Going out for a drink or to a club is so easy and everything is practically a 5 minute walk from any Accomodation. The lecturers are also very helpful and you can go to them for any advice, which is nice as you don’t have to be afraid to ask for explanations on lectures or an essay you’ve submitted. Overall, the University of Portsmouth is fun, interesting and definitely a great place to study and live.

My course is incredibly interesting and by far the best course I looked at when applying to different universities. The lecturers are lovely and very helpful, my peers love to contribute and debates are always rich with ideas, and there are so many opportunities like travelling abroad or working in industry. The only critique I would have is the amount of strikes the lecturers go on, making it difficult to keep up with the work. My course alone has had 21 days overall that have been impacted by strikes, which is astounding.

It’s very aesthetic, and the location couldn’t be more perfect. Unfortunately when you have issues like your shower not working or something being broken, it doesn’t get fixed no matter how many times you call maintenance. The front door to my flat doesn’t lock which is extremely dangerous, and maintenance said they ‘fixed it’ and it’s still broken three months later. Also the room size varies so much that someone could easily have double the size of your room but you’d be paying the same price, which I think is ridiculous.
