Though I study English, and thus have fewer contact hours on account of the need to read and formulate opinions rather than be taught outright, the lectures and seminars presented are goldmines of interesting and constructive information and study techniques. The other students are, for the most part, very amicable and the staff are incredibly willing to assist you - or rather to help you help yourself. I have never been without facilities I thought I would need, the accommodation options are excellent and relatively inexpensive, the area is very nice to be in and the bars are reasonably priced. Overall, I'd call University of Leicester an 8.5/10.

I think that this is a great Uni. It has a nice campus. The lecturers on my course are friendly and the SU has comfy sofas. So far I've had a good experience. People in the uni are great and I've made lots of friend. You have the opportunity to be independent. When you come to this uni be ready to work. English has few contact hours, and so you need to manage your time.
