It just feels right that this is my uni, I feel settled in and comfortable, but quite a lot of improvements need to be made There's not much to do on campus, and the college system makes it hard to reach outside your own college

There's a good gym, but the library is not big enough and not enough other places to work, very little else to do on campus Also, many resources are geared towards particular departments, leaving facilities for others forgotten

Counselling services are poor and limited, departments don't communicate between one another, and some staff are not understanding of your needs

Totally over ridden by our college system, lusu is virtually an unknown They make a lot of errors in planning etc and seem poorly organised They are not helpful at all to individuals trying to do something that is not society or college based, which is so frustrating and unsupoortive

Lancaster City is friendly but there's not loads going on, the night life is so repetitive and campus is not near the city, so it's inconvenient

Good variety of both competitive and non competitive clubs and societies, but it's very hard to start up your own No support from lusu for a society though, try to make things as expensive as possible and grant permission for nothing

Lecturers usually just read off a PowerPoint, waste of time and money Lots of content overlap between courses Course content is usually interesting though Often I'm given no feedback on a piece if work which makes it hard to improve

Well renowned uni so employers like that, but we don't often get much careers info or help telling is what our next step needs to be in shaping our career

Amazing accommodation , with a wide variety across colleges Most accommodation types have a cleaner, and bathrooms/kitchens are never shared between too many people Some accommodations don't have a lounge area which is a shame All accommodations are particularly safe and secure

Lancaster is such a lovely place to study. The town is beautiful and historic and the campus is so green. There is a real sense of community with the colleges and societies here. The lecturers are really passionate and I've met so many friendly people - I'm so glad I get to study here!

My course is wonderful - we are exposed to such a range of literature and history from different places and periods in first year. This really helps us understand where we would like to specialise but also makes us think about our subjects differently. I like how we are assessed in different ways, including presentations, coursework essays and (some) exams. The seminars are great opportunities for discussion where you can add to your own thoughts and ideas alongside others.

The halls are cleaned regularly, in a great location in the heart of campus and allow you to make friends easily. The Porters are also really helpful if you have any problems or post you need to collect. Though they are more expensive than renting in town, living on campus helps you to settle in during first year.
