The library is wonderful. The course tutors and lecturers are for the most part excellent. The pace of the course is great. The college system is very good, but I would like a more equal spread of events across all colleges (aka, my college hasn’t been the best but I can still attend other college events).

Best aspects is the amount of teaching time in person, not too much so I have lots of time for reading and independent work. Worst thing is some of the lectures are very boring to listen to.

The town is lovely and always has lots of events going on.

I like the location of my halls, and I like the size of my room. But it’s very expensive; next year I’ll be paying over £50 less a week to live in a shared house in town.

Though I didn't particularly like Lancaster at first, I learnt to stick to it and approach things in a more positive and open mindset. As soon as I decided to really push myself to engage with the range of opportunities the University presents its students, my entire experience changed, and I felt included! Finding the right people, discovering the area, and really taking the time to invest yourself in the course you chose is something I found to be key to the Lancaster experience.
