Lancaster is such a lovely place to study. The town is beautiful and historic and the campus is so green. There is a real sense of community with the colleges and societies here. The lecturers are really passionate and I've met so many friendly people - I'm so glad I get to study here!

My course is wonderful - we are exposed to such a range of literature and history from different places and periods in first year. This really helps us understand where we would like to specialise but also makes us think about our subjects differently. I like how we are assessed in different ways, including presentations, coursework essays and (some) exams. The seminars are great opportunities for discussion where you can add to your own thoughts and ideas alongside others.

The halls are cleaned regularly, in a great location in the heart of campus and allow you to make friends easily. The Porters are also really helpful if you have any problems or post you need to collect. Though they are more expensive than renting in town, living on campus helps you to settle in during first year.
