The quality of teaching is great, it has a really friendly and chill atmosphere, beautiful location, student support is very hit or miss as lecturers and personal tutors are great but the actual mental health services are poor

Course is taught entirely in person which is great (but everything is recorded and shared online if you can't make it), lecturers are happy to organise meetings, quick to respond to emails and generally very approachable and friendly (although lecture quality is variable, some are very good some are just alright).

Bangor is a pretty small place but it's very easy to feel at home here. Public transport wise there's lots of buses but they don't always run very often and Arriva buses are both often late and expensive - there's also a train station but I have no experience with using the train. Best thing about Bangor is rent is a lot cheaper here than elsewhere in the UK! There's a good selection of pubs and 2 clubs which are both solid, it's also a very diverse and inclusive place with a big LGBTQ+ community. Downsides are that there's not a lot of options for work around here and Bangor is really the biggest place around for a while. But it's a beautiful area and everything's within walking distance, and the hills really aren't too bad once you're used to them!

Great value for money. WiFi is very good, occassionally takes a minute to connect but once you're on it it's very fast. Maintenance is not the quickest, took them about a month to fix our stove but they did replace it eventually, also took them a fortnight to replace broken lights but again they did get round to it eventually. For the price it's really good.

The location is great, bit out the way but good for all the outdoor type of stuff. So many society's/ clubs to join so you'll never be bored. The student support could do with being better as the communication is sub-par. It takes a long time for emails to be responded to. The overall experience is great though with a beautiful uni and beautiful surroundings. A unique experience studying at Bangor.

There's plenty of books within the library for my course that are always available and practical in use. The teachers are very friendly and easy to talk too and are always pushing you to do better. Personally, I think they can mark quite harshly but other than that the tutor/ learning aspect is good.

The halls at Bangor and beautiful and different from most unis. I love having my own bathroom that comes with the room. Cleaning could be better but that's more a personal student issue and not a lot to do with the university. They have shops ok campus that are very well stocked. Security respond well to issues and there is always somebody there to help you if needed. The biggest issue I've had in halls are other students as people can be very inconsiderate at times. E.g noise, littering, moving your belongings out of washing machines etc.
