I really like Loughborough, the teaching standard for my subject is generally very good, with lecturers and tutors who genuinely seem to care about your grades, and not just their own research. The range of societies, fitness classes, and student-run companies offered is huge, really helping to enrich our uni experience. Also, the campus is great, and the union provides a fun, affordable place to go out which isn't too far to go.

Brilliant sport facilities, good library.

I have volunteered a little through one of the support systems, and it did show me what an excellent system they have.

Affordable, close by, generally fun. Only complaint is that from the 'lads' culture' you don't always feel comfortable there as a girl.

As it's a small town it's quite good for what it is, but if you want to do more cultural things, other cities are not far on public transport.

Excellent range, largely well-run.

Overall, the teaching standard has been great for me, and the modules interesting. Very few contact hours for what you pay though.

Although the uni is excellent in helping other subjects get placements and internships to help their job prospects, as an English student almost everything that has been offered to me has been one day work shadowing.

The rooms and bathrooms are good, although if you compare them to some student accommodation in town which is cheaper and has better facilities (e.g. A dishwasher), it's hugely expensive for what it offers.

Loughborough provides all students with a wide range of good quality degree courses alongside an excellent students' union that provides all sorts of societies and support. Being part of a committee is a rewarding experience.
