Things that make Sussex a great place to study: Excellent student support; there's always someone to help you and someone to talk to and they let that be known the second you walk through the door Brilliant teachers and staff members, highly educated staff so you know you are getting your monies worth Good facilities all building are walking distance from each other on campus, unlike many other universities improved on: Less construction going on campus during the year takes away from the beauty of the campus

In this department, all is well; the only thing that needs to improve is maybe being able to book 1 on 1 sessions with lecturers

When I was searching for a course to study abroad I wanted a place which is very green and less noisy like my hometown in Kerala. I got attracted to university of Sussex and it's natural beauty. SPRU with its reputation and interdisciplinary courses strengthened my decision. People here are really supportive and friendly. Students and staff are also very good. Lectures are very good. If I could improve something it's providing more hands on experience and slowing down the pace of course a little bit.

Classes are like discussions which allow us absorb the content and think about it deeply. Since I am coming from a different background from my masters subject it was really important for me to engage with the course. These discussions helped me a lot. Lectures are very friendly and course content is also good.

I met a lot of supportive people here in the halls, which is very important when you are staying away from your family. Heating facilities and kitchen are all good. But security and building management is not that nice.
