Excellent facilities and high standard of subject knowledge from staff. Communication and standardisation of systems will make the student life easier.

As a PhD student, there are not much learning class-based to do but there are many aspects of the path itself that needs to be understood. The program has an excellent person delivering critical aspects of the PhD path, including individual difficulties and special needs.

I was first amazed by the vibrant, engaging research community, which powerfully cultivates a sense of motivation for development. Lecturers and researchers are experts in their fields and are very open to sharing their knowledge with me.

I value three primary strengths of the course: a supportive, expert research community (including peer PhDs and supervisors), dedicated research facilities (like the NBD PhD Room) that facilitate focused work, and regular writing retreats that promote both concentration and professional networking. While not a major weakness, I believe the first year of the PhD program would benefit from more dedicated seminars where all PGRs could discuss papers and sharpen critical reasoning skills.
