The NTU is overall good. As I am a PhD student so the group I work in is very cooperative and my supervisor is also very nice. However, being a PhD student I struggle with not having a personalized work space. Moreover, I have my family with me and I also struggled a lot with finding an accommodation as NTU does not provide accommodation to students with families.

Great sense of community. Beautiful, eco-friendly buildings and campuses. Great staff. Wonderful city, perfect for students. Only downside is Brackenhurst campus can feel quite isolated form rest of university and is often forgotten about in terms of events etc.

Facilities are perfect for what I need to complete my research degree. My supervisors are excellent and the contact time they offer me is perfect. The work placement is not applicable this tine but when I did my UG degree the placement scheme was very poorly organised and managed, and this left me in an unsafe position with no support from the university.

It was very handy being right on campus for lectures but was not a good location for being a student or socialising. The brackenhurst campus lacks facilities for students. There is no gym and the students union bar is tiny andnowhere near as good as the city or clifton SU bars. There didn't seem to be many events on at brack which meant that we had to travel 1 hr to the city to take part in things. This meant that being part of clubs or societies was difficult as it often meant travelling to clifton which is 1.5 - 2 hours each way on 2 buses.
