The engineering facilities are great and there's so many different skills you can learn in there, however some of the other facilities (lecture halls etc) are outdated and often too small for my class. All three libraries across the campuses are very nice and the student union ran facilities are great. The main downfall is that there isn't much of a uni campus feel as the uni is split over there different sites.

Overall the course is taught well, there have been a few poor lecturers but complaints against them were taken seriously. You get a lot of contact hours and chances to use the engineering facilities. Sharing lectures with the other engineering disciplines is also enjoyable. The only problem I have is the amount of group work we do. Obviously teamwork is an important skill in engineering but we have one pretty much every semester and it can be frustrating that one grade every semester depends on the work of other people

Too far from the university. The halls are not close to the university or the city centre so if feels like being stuck in the middle of nowhere. Nothing in waking distance from the halls apart from a corner shop. Bus service from the halls was very unreliable and expensive. Seem expensive for what I was paying as the halls were very very old and run down and was shared bathroom which was constantly not working. Maintenance would come quickly when called. Security wasn't great as our flat for broken into and they didn't seem to do much about it or the prevent something like that happening again

Enjoyable lectures and lessons, worst has got to be the long days sometimes
