With the challenges faced due to the unprecedented pandemic that we find ourselves in, my university has been kind and open in welcoming the 1st year students. Online teaching, in my opinion, online learning has been pushed to the peak of features and usability. Overall, I think my university is brilliant in supporting students in all aspects of their uni-life.

BU has student support services call the SUBU.

Personally, I haven't used any of these services in place, however, we get regular emails from the university informing students about all the service available to them for their wellbeing, disability and mental health. Regular workshops are run on zoom.

Although teaching has been made difficult due to the pandemic, my lecturers, and programme leaders have been so supportive. By bringing lots of interactivity to lectures and seminars, even posed with the restrictions of online teaching. Contacting my lecturers is hard because of never actually being able to meet them in person, however, they can be contacted via email and even 1-to-1 sessions if we absolutely need them.

I am only in my first year so I don't have a depth of knowledge on what the university offers BU students regarding job prospects. What I can tell you is that the university runs workshops regarding CV writing and other skills. Emails are sent to students highlighting all the support available sometimes going as far as to find job availabilities also.
