Its the best uni!!

I love my course

Personally, when I was applying to different universities in the UK, i got into all of them may they be ranked in the top 10 or 20s in the world or in the 90s or 100s. What stood out for in Sheffield, was that not only it had amazing facilities for engineering specially Electronic and Electrical Engineering, but also it had amazing student support system, like as a 17yr old travelling 4500 miles away from home, which was India for me, one of the top criteria for me other than education will be safety, student life and support. And this is what Sheffield is Excellent at, and it can be observed not only when you get to UK, but months before via the online workshops, info sessions, beautiful and simplistic website with all the information needed, fast email response times for students. All these small things made me go for Sheffield and getting rid of the famous unis in the UK. And personally being here for around 3+yrs now I don't regret any bit of it, I have had so much fun, gained a lot of experience, had so many amazing opportunities, landed multiple internships, and full time year placement and also amazing acacademic Support. Most importantly made friends for life with some non-forgettable memories. And students union, interdepartmental student support has been a major part of it other than the engineering studies itself.

I the amazing aspect of my course is that most of the grades we score come from assignments, group projects, eand ngineering-building tasks rather than exams. This makes it a true engineering experience as in real-life engineering i will be spending most of my time working on engineering projects rather than just exams which don't teach us a lot. One thing that I would like to improve it desired help and support on theory content, like if I am willing to attempt harder questions or learn something more than what is taught in the class I should be allowed to do so and I should be provided with the extra material, reference books and support to achieve that.
