Good environment and bad part about transportation

Lecture amazing. Long hours

I've learned to be more independent and curious. This particular university's atmosphere can be daunting (cliques, high-school vibes etc.). Some members of staff can be inhospitable, or at least disinterested in making your university experience more positively engaging. My claims are from personal experience.

Average.

Academic support by lectures are above average, although- personally- my dissertation tutor was rarely involved with my topic of essay, giving very general, on-the-surface advice. Personal counseling offered by the university is not higher than average.

I would say mediocre. There isn't much involvement with students (comparing with the top 80 UK universities); average facilitation of students (e.g. limited support groups and quality/extent of support); Student representation can be weak in certain degrees; representatives of the Students' Union and faculty can be generally impersonal (and superficial) with regards to their relationship with students. Facilities can be improved, such as the technology in libraries (e.g. occasionally slow computers and printers, and faulty cash payment machines for printing-credit). The university's cafeteria is rudimentary and outdated. Accommodation halls can be both cleaned more frequently, as well as renovated .

The university is located in close proximity- within 50 meters to a mile- to most conceivable recreational and travel amenities (e.g. chain fast food restaurants/take-outs, shopping depts., public parks and movie theaters). Bus and cab stops are located throughout the main streets/blocks to and from the university; the main Cambridge train station is located less than a mile away. The police station and university accommodation offices are just across the street from the university front.

I'm not sure about the university's efforts, as a whole. My lecturers were fairly helpful in terms of employability (including work placements and transferable skills).

High safety, average condition (some rooms need remodeling, convenient location, average cost.
