I have heard countless times "Where is the University of Gloucestershire" i've never heard of that. Well, let me tell you, UOG provides a wild journey. Although, the University of Gloucestershire is relatively small compared to other universities, it manages to achieve a feeling of community which you may not achieve with bigger unis. At a lot of my friends universities, there are these uni rivalries between different campus' and halls which seem to be taken quite seriously. At UOG, we find it interesting if we bump into someone else from different halls, there is no animosity between fellow UOG students. Finally, over my 3 years i have achieved more than just a degree. UOG has supported me in getting to know myself and that is something that cannot be bought. Over my 3 years at uni, i have achieved way more than just a degree. University has

Although, UOG is small, the SU does put on many events, both alcohol involved and alcohol free. People moan that the SU don't do enough but the events are there for people to go to, people are just lazy. It is missing an SU club/nightclub which other universities have.

Apart from cinema, nightclubs and bowling there is not a whole lot to do for students or if there is it tends to be quite expensive.

The clubs and societies are really supportive of one another. It feels as though we are all one big UOG club, divided into smaller groups.

Before coming to University, I was under the impression that because I had an interest in education, the only career opportunity available to me was teaching. However, education studies has taught me that, education is in everything. There are many different aspects to education and because of this, a range of different jobs linked to the educational field. However, I wish UOG would place a lot more emphasis on studying abroad and 1 year exchange placements.

I have received a lot of support for developing my academic writing and research which has resulted in me achieving high grades
