The environment in which I study is just brilliant. The mental health and gp services on campus have been really helpful for me, as well as academic support from my personal tutor and guidance counsellor. I've always felt like I can contact someone due to always getting a quick response to any issues. My studies are going well, field trips placed by the uni for my course are exceptional and I am hence journeying to South Africa come march which is incredibly exciting and I am ecstatic to have this opportunity. Regarding areas to improve, I honestly struggle. Perhaps having more affordable food on campus? As it isn't extortionate but paying say 10 pounds for hot food and a drink does eat away at my budget (on top of paying an awful lot for rent and bills). Finance is probably my main problem which is personal but it does feed into uni life.

Face to face teaching and interaction through teaching is one of the best aspects of my course. However I'd have to say the field trip learning experiences and lab work are definitely a favourite of mine. By applying taught skills in the field it feels rewarding, and then writing the data up into a paper reaffirms what we've been taught. My only flaw is that in some lectures the style is quite boring, slow presentations of the facts and hence a disinterest. To improve this I'd suggest integrating little quizzes or worksheets into the lectures to keep the momentum flowing.

Value for money - it was very nice in comparison to what other students live in. However, despite having the luxury of an ensuite we did have quite a few problems with our shared kitchen such as the fridge freezing our food and one oven and hob not working all year. It felt safe in my building but there were a few occurrences in the buildings next door regarding a knife which was unnerving to say the least. HOWEVER I cherish the memories of last year as I had an absolutely brilliant time with my flatmates and live with some of them now in my house for second year.
