It is a great place to study because of the small class sizes and amount of help you receive. Furthermore, in my course Geography there is plenty of field trips and hands-on experience.

There is plenty of one to one time with the lecturers and the course offers a lot of hands on experience, they make the lectures fun and engaging.

I really enjoyed my time in halls, due to the people I was living with. I am grateful for the facilities and everything worked fine. Despite being in the cheapest accommodation, my room was big and spacious and I had a lovely view. Everything on campus was close by and useful.

Able to get support with any issues I've had with finances, laundrette, maintenance as I reside in one of the campuses at university and these get sorted at a good speed from when the request or query is made. Security have had to deal with our accommodation setting the fire alarm off many times accidentally and due to absent minded mistakes which we learn from but they have helped us a lot to stay safe. The accommodation hub are very welcoming and provide us with fun activities during celebratory events such as Christmas gatherings by setting up movie nights and providing us with snacks and drinks as well as being able to participate with your flatmates in a competition called flatlympics and you receive £50 worth of pizza, etc if you are the winning flat at the end of the month! We are very lucky to have a great team of staff who are mostly friendly and helpful at the accommodation hub. The university make sure we receive weekly updates of news digitally via email as well as within the university being advertised on screens and through posters/ flyers they come and put up in our accommodation. They are very mindful of the environment with a fairly green campus we live on but the other campus (city) definitely needs to be more green as it is mainly built up with an urban approach. One improvement needed is with our cleaning staff, we have told our accommodation hub about their lack of work ethic they are required to do. I have been blessed with a great set of people in accommodation and we definitely have become a family, we work well as a team making sure any issues are to be resolved with supplies needed and cleanliness levels so we generally clean a lot but we aren't receiving the required cleanliness levels off the cleaning staff in the bathrooms and kitchens. We do everything required of us but they do not! This needs to be improved as we pay for that as part of our cost for living in halls.

The course so far has been okay. Collectively we came across issues and our course representative made our tutors aware in which we submitted comments through a feedback form. They have made adjustments to our needs making sure we are fully understanding the content and if not we can speak with our tutors via email and arrange meeting times with them. I have received support from my tutors during lectures when questioning what query I have had and via email when I had concerns about what was required off me in assignments. We are given re-arranged sessions as required when lectures are cancelled, content has been rushed in lectures before but this concern was raised during the feedback forms and will hopefully remain at a pace we can understand the content. We are easily able to access any lectures slides from lectures on the day and after as they are put onto blackboard (university's forum for students) which is very helpful for anything we may have missed in the session and can ask our lecturers about anything we do not fully understand. One issue that I have is the lack of information I received on how we can receive help from our mentors, my mum told me I am meant to be speaking with my mentor regularly and getting them to give me feedback upon my assignments but I was not aware of this. I understand why as my mentor has recently emailed me to inform why he has not been in touch due to illness after our field trips which majority of us did become unwell and unfortunately still have issues with illness to this day from a flu and viral infection. However, now that I know this I feel at ease and more comfortable settling into my course and I understand what is required of me as a student and how to receive support from my lecturers and mentor.

The university location itself is very accessible to the city whether you live of course in city campus or St john's halls just a 20 minute walk at most away from the city. The walks can be quite long which can be tricky carrying heavy bags from supermarkets such as our local Aldi so especially in the cold you need to wrap up and make sure to have secure bags- remember to recycle these bags by re-using them! Worcester is known for it's flooding so at times it can be inaccessible to reach certain areas but thankfully we can reach the stores we need to get to and we even have a campus shop for any items we may need but for us at St John's campus we have local convenience stores such as co-op, loco and etc to buy necessary items from at somewhat reasonable prices. For what we receive off the university such as money to join clubs and societies we do have a reasonable cost of living, it just depends on the person and what their budget is really. We do benefit from night life being accommodated for us students also with deals from the university's partnership with the night clubs and the security make sure we are safe in the club. The university also provide us with events such as well-being and give us free items such as bottle covers to keep us safe in the clubs from any unexpected misfortune. The university make us aware of any news immediately to keep us safe and up to date with anything with social media accounts and of course through our university emails and even in the university on screens around campus. Diversity of the university is apparent with great partnership universities allowing international students to study for a semester, the year or for a whole 3 or 4 years and students who are from the UK that go to Worcester can also do this like myself as part of geography I have the opportunity to go abroad for a year. We are able to get ourselves jobs on campus being a student ambassador or even in the city like my friend who now has a permanent job in the city. With my course we are made aware of what opportunities we have such as volunteering with the fish pass and doing things to be able to benefit with our cv in the future.

Our halls are definitely renovated compared with halls that pay more. As I live in traditional halls which are the cheapest option, they are maintained very well whenever we make requests with maintenance and let our accommodation hub staff know we are having issues with heating or whatever it may be. As mentioned in a previous comment, we do have issue with the cleaning staff as they haven't been doing what is required of them and are frankly slacking compared to us students who live in the halls and are making sure to do what is required of us. I do have a concern with my room as I live with no room below me which is a benefit of course but it is also a disadvantage with my heating. The room can become extremely cold and I have had issues with the floors becoming damp throughout the night due to fluctuating temperatures. I do have numerous blankets on my bed and it can become very warm for me so it starts getting warm in the room then cold again so there are definitely heating issues, I raised awareness with the maintenance service and they had looked into my room and observed the issue but I will have to see whether the circulation is sorted when I am back at university. Overall I love the accommodation for it's great facilities and we can make requests to receive any lack of supply we have and receive what we need for the accommodation within a day or so. The location is great as we can easily get to our designated timetabled rooms for lectures, can easily walk out to the entry and exits to go shopping in the city or at local convenience stores to our campus just outside of the city.
