The campus always looks presentable and is easily traversable. In the library, there are plenty of people to help with whatever you need. Uploading assignments, looking back at past lectures and looking at your timetable are all very easy to do. I have been supported quite well academically throughout my first year. There could be a wider range of societies to join, but this is not a significant issue. The student union regularly has events for anyone to take part in. The student accommodation is on campus, and other locations are not far, making it easy to attend lectures and classes.

Personally on my course, I have found some staff members to be somewhat incompetent. It makes it tough to convince myself to go into lectures when I know the lecturer is someone who rambles on for a long time. Some of the content has been quite basic for higher education: we once had a lecture on what a paragraph is. Meanwhile harder aspects of my course, like learning new software, has been looked at less. At the same time, they expect you to attend all lectures. I understand people get to uni through different pathways, but I have spent over 4 years writing essays and doing other academic writing. Some of these lectures are not applicable to me.

Peel Park Quarter, managed by Campus Living Villages, has been great. Rent includes all payments, so there's no worries about paying for heating, WiFi, water etc. The staff are very understanding about financial issues. I did have some issues paying my first installment of rent, but I explained the issue and it was promptly resolved. The events they hold are also very fun, and usually involve free food which is another great benefit. If you have any maintenance troubles, all you need to do is put a request in the app and they will fix it within the next day. For all other regular maintenance they do like window washing or managing kitchen equipment, you are told weeks prior by email. I am staying in a bronze tier room, the lowest, and it is more than enough. Personally, I think the higher tiers are not worth the added cost. It's location on campus is very helpful, as lectures are practically on your doorstep. Overall, accomodation has been the best aspect of uni life.
