I like that it’s quite small, that comes with pros and cons but for me is mainly a good thing. I think the lecturers I have a re great. I haven’t interacted much with our student union so I can’t say much about them, but u do hear complaints more than I hear good things, if I’m being honest! I’m sure they’re trying their best. Whenever I’ve needed support I’ve mostly gotten good help. I quite like how my lectures are structured, it’s a decent place to study!

Courses are taught in person and I think that’s very beneficial. I think the lecturers do a great job. There have been some incidents where some students don’t feel that their feedback on assignments is strong enough or makes sense, and only one lecturer was not so great at responding to emails. However, for the most part, interaction with lecturers is good. I really like our class content and i think my course hours are fine!

in terms of location, the good thing is that it’s close to Francis close hall if you study there and hardwick campus if you study there (of course). However, i think because they plan to get rid of it, the maintenance is not great. They can take ages to respond to work orders. Security is not good. our laundry is accessible to ANYONE and i have had things stolen by a non student who just walked in and walked out, no one could do anything about it. we have had issues with the laundry being accessible to anyone and requested a key card scanner to be needed but they haven’t done that (probably because they are selling the place but our safety now still matters) i like my room i will say that. Upon moving in for second year though, there were five of us and only 4 freezer draws. Luckily one of us has moved elsewhere and i now have a tray to use (i was the unlucky one who ended up with no tray) the price for rent has gone up since last year and i think it’s very unreasonable. I dont think inflation can be a fair reason for it to go up so much because there are multiple of us paying rent. they can’t even get cameras installed in the laundry room! There is certainly room for improvement but very little time for that now unfortunately

The lecturers are friendly and always willing to help with enquiries and whatever else

I like that each module has 2 to 3 hours per week in class learning that is all in one go rather than split up across the week so I can just focus on one module on the day in that week and don't have to worry about that module until it comes back around next week
