The staff are amazing and help answer questions ranging from pure daft to incredibly complex. The course is enjoyable, and engaging and offers a range of opportunities. I feel appropriately tested in my academic abilities and am encouraged to expand my knowledge to better my future. As per the campus, the student union is currently being refurbished with little communication to students on what is being implemented. I am grateful for the improvement but it feels as though we are waiting to see the result blindly - the true result may not match the current rumors. The location of the campus is perfect for walking into the town for a night out or a coffee study session. The free bus travel for under 24s is ideal for taking trips to the ice arena or cinemas on the outskirts of the city and can create a perfect life-study balance. I would completely recommend Dundee as both a university to study at as well as a city to be in. Could there be improvements? Yes. Would I consider doing my undergraduate at another university? No. All in all, nowhere is 100% perfect but the people of Dundee and what is offered make up for anything lacking.

The staff are amazing, fieldwork is exciting, exams are appropriately challenging, and my class mates are all equally engaged (showing how amazing the lecturers are).

The location is ideal with the city centre being only a 5 minute walk away. There are plenty of really lovely coffee shops near by to grab caffeine in-between classes or stop for lunch. The campus itself is quick and easy to navigate with buildings being really well signposted for the most part. The student union offers free breakfast for all students (Monday to Friday) in order to help in the current economic crisis. Even if this was not the case, the food offered if extremely well priced and tastes great. The main library has different floors to accommodate different study types (group, quiet, silent etc) so you can find somewhere that suits how you work best. The library has also great facilities such as bookable rooms, the ability to reserve textbooks etc. My only criticism would be any online teaching aspects. In person classes are normally recorded and released later that day. Quite often there is errors where the video won’t have recorded properly or there is sound issues, however lecturers are often quick to find a way to fix this issue such as uploading the lecture from a previous year instead.

I loved the ease of student halls. All Dundee accommodation has en-suites which is super handy and kitchens are a really good size for the number of people in a flat. I wish that halls were cheaper but I feel this applies at almost every university. Additionally, I wish there was a “common room” or “social space” in each accommodation to mix with other students more.
