The University was extremely supportive in regards to the pandemic, ensuring that we had enough extensions and support to achieve our best while facing new circumstances that may have disrupted our learning.

The campus is very modern meaning that the lecture halls are very well equipped and comfortable to sit in for long periods of time (I often had 3 hour lectures). The Library and Clerici Building are both an amazing place to work, comfortable, well lit, good wifi and food choices, and this makes a huge difference because it encourages you to want to go and work on campus, which increases productivity.

There is plenty of support in terms of well-being, disability and mental health as far as I am aware, but this isn't something I ever needed the support of.

The Geography Course at Oxford Brookes is divided extremely well between Lectures/Field Trips/Laboratory Sessions and Class Discussions to ensure that we are given the best possible overall education. The different learning styles and assignments such as presentations, group projects, reports and spreadsheet exercises ensure that not only do we keep up with the reading for our modules but this range of learning techniques opens us up to learn a number of really useful skills that not every course would provide.

We have had guest speakers, jobs fairs, and discussions about the future after graduation and there is an alumni group on LinkedIn to maintain the connections made.

As a single parent am unable to enjoy many of the facilities offered by the uni I have found the staff to be very supportive of my situation although i do find it very loney a times and often feel a bit excluded from the enjoyment of uni life. Oxford is a divers and interesting city and i would reccomend anyone to come an d study here.
