I think our student union could be better used, having more events in the evenings. I like the size of the uni though, I think being a smaller uni gives lectures more of a chance to work with individuals.

I like the size of the course, as it means more intense time with lecturers, although i think there could be more of a mix of online lectures for those who are struggling to make it into university, as it can be difficult for those with mental health issues, or at least having the option to join online for all lectures as well.

Best aspects are the constant events and opportunities on campus for socialising and career support. The lectures and staff are very friendly and helpful. Worst aspects are that some of the lecture halls have uncomfortable and cramped seats with tables too short as well as not all female bathrooms having sanitary products available.

There is plenty of contact hours with lectures in addition with labs and fieldtrips. Only negative is that in the first year as physical geography is a relatively small subject choice on its own is that all lectures are with subjects related to geography such as environmental science . Its great for making friends outside of your exact subject area but its means not every thing is exactly useful. But overall its brilliant.
