Regarding the uni as a campus - It is stunning!! I love nature, and a more natural surrounding in general, and the campus is basically built on a forest with plenty of wildlife running around, a small loch, loads of greenspace.. It's just gorgeous to walk around and very relaxing. The facilities - Academic wise; the library, computer and study spaces are all over campus and are, for the most part, excellent. Hard to say at a higher level what facilities are like, though I have had access to the research labs and will get hands on experience next year, and this is awesome!! The facilities - Sport wise; Oriam is a spectacle in itself - Largest indoor football pitch in the entire northern hemisphere, and the rest! I love my sports, and the community at Heriot-Watt is without doubt one of the best in this area. I love every second of being involved with it all. City and student life - Edinburgh city is not far away (30 minutes by bus) and buses run very regularly (every 10-15 minutes). The night life is incredible, the day offers hundreds of opportunities throughout, and there are multiple beach areas to boot; what more can you possibly ask for?! The course - The BSc (Hons) Geography course is actually quite new, and so has a few issues alongside. These are being constantly acted on, and the course is slowly building into something that I think is excellent! The staff are outstanding at listening, and really work with the school officer and/or class reps to provide a better experience for all involved. I'd happily recommend it, despite this.

I mean... It's on campus, so right next to all of the facilities. Location is of course first class for this. The uni itself, for me, is extremely safe and relaxing, so I have no problems here either for sure! Wifi is superb (I play World of Warcraft and Fallout-76, and never had any issues, so that's a pretty decent test for it's capabilities, I guess). The room was a tad small, but I was only paying £300 (ish) a month, all inclusive (except food), and would say relatively, considering I was on campus and close to everything, couldn't really ask for more... The room was a little dated, though, painting and aesthetics wise, so that brings it down a star. The new halls are a significant upgrade!

Great surroundings to relax while studying. Lots of areas to study that are quiet and have relevant resources if needed

Course content is okay, in 2nd year and still haven’t learned very much new content compared to 6th year high school/1st year uni. Lecturers are ok, could try to be more enthusiastic and change up their teaching style sometimes rather than just copying off a PowerPoint slide
