An amazing University! I have loved studying here so much - beautiful campus which is super close to town, stunning countryside and lovely beaches. Everyone is so friendly and there is something for everyone to do within one of the hundreds of societies!

Something for everyone

I study Drama but have also studied Spanish here and Anthropology. The university provides you with lots of flexibility and advice.

I'm half way through my final year and I already have a job set up to start in September. The University, through my tutors and lecturers provided me with lots of support whisky I was applying.

Halls are great but are getting more expensive. Houses in second and third year are all in great locations - close to the uni and town.

The university of Exeter is such an inclusive environment where you always feel involved. There are so many social things to do, removing home sickness and making the time much more enjoyable. Everyone is super friendly and staff are always happy to help, supporting people quickly and efficiently. Exeter is such a pretty campus, and despite the immense amount of hills, very well placed. The walk around campus is full of beautiful scenes and this is further enhanced by the town. The town itself is bubbly and lively, with brilliant night-life, but additionally amazing restaurants and shops. The town is open late at night so that you can shop after lectures finish which is brilliant as a student. My course is amazing, with fabulous lectures/professors, enhancing my knowledge. I find the drama side fun and interactive, meanwhile the English side more academically focused. Whilst drama isn’t for everyone, being out of my comfort zone with people who share the same passions is refreshing, and the teachers are warm and welcoming, making the first few stages of ‘embarrassment’ feel like a breeze. Exeter is an amazing university and I would not change anything for it.

The course hours are a lot, which for some is good and others is difficult. Luckily I enjoy the hours of drama and find that the contact time allows me to develop my understanding and enhance my knowledge. I feel as though I have grown a close bond with both my classmates and the lecturers, allowing myself to feel confident in classes. I enough the in person aspect of the course and how the classes are accessible online if unavailable to attend, allowing for flexibility that is needed in adolescence.

Birks grange is a social and communal accommodation where everyone is warm and welcoming. It is right next to a Morrisons which is super helpful for small bits. The only bad thing is the hill!!!! I dread it every morning. The WiFi is very unreliable, and it varies from day to day.
