It isn't what I thought it would be like, there have been some teething issues with modules and what is available to my course, but that is to be expected with a brand new course. There are a ton of opportunities as long as you have an open schedule and some motivation - you can work with film students, post-grads and industry professionals that are brought in. The department really does try and you get the great opportunity to speak up and tell them what's working and what isn't with the Academic Course Rep positions available to every course and year. The Student Union puts on a ton of events through out term, as well as a lot of helpful teams for the students and giving a lot of students jobs.

Some classes feel like they should be longer or the time isn't allocated in the best way, like some classes in my first year felt like they needed to be more than the given 2 hours, and some needed to be shorter than the given 3 hours. The tutors have such a limited office time, usually only one hour a week, it's more beneficial just to email them instead. There could be way more content in the course, every other BA course has almost double the amount of modules in a term, we only have 3 while others have 5 or 6. There are also modules that would be beneficial for the course that aren't allowed due to how the module allocation system is shaped, so some acting classes aren't available for the acting student to take. I do like the classes that we are taking, I just do wish there was more to them. Every lecturer and tutor that I have met have been really nice and they're great at the subjects they specialize in.

I loved Wedderburn as it was exactly what I had hoped for, as they have the same layout as some of the other halls on campus as well. I loved the en-suite and it was the main reason why it was my top choice. The only thing I didn't really like was that I was on the ground floor, I would have preferred to be up a level just to feel safer, as I had people knock on my window at night sometimes and I would have to be extra careful to not leave my window open while I was out of the room. The kitchen was lovely as well but there weren't enough cupboards to make everything even between everyone in the corridor, as I had half the cupboard space as everyone else, and they could've put in another fridge/freezer as I had half a shelf in the fridge and the smallest drawer in the freezer. I do wish that I had been put in the Tuke, Williamson or Butler buildings as I had wanted to be with other first years and it was more central to campus, Wedderburn was the furthest possible on-campus hall from my department as well as a hill to climb up. I did feel a bit alienated from campus because it feels like it's not really a part of campus since it's down the hill and surrounded by trees.

Campus amazing and plenty to do - local town has all you need. Harder to get to London than expected but still very viable most of time and local buses and trains great!

Amazing facilities for music students and very good help from tutors - for the theatre/drama side a little less support but still available.

Room size excellent and all facilities good - a common area would be nice but not caused any issues.
