My university experience has been amazing, I've met so many amazing people who have done incredible things. Hearing about there experiences at university is exciting also. The teaching has been good with staff always available at hand. Plymouth is great with things to do most of the time, particularly if you meet a wide group of people.

They are of a reasonable standard, being a modern university, the dental school specifically has spectacular facilities as it is a new department to the university.

We have meetings once a term where we are able to discuss any issues or problems we may be having at university. There are always feedback options and staff always offer an 'open door' policy.

I don't get involved. I have a lot of studying myself. The student union is good though.

Plymouth is a vibrant city with plenty of students which means there are always things to do and plenty of students/like minded people to meet and interact with.

I haven't joined any so can't comment on my own role. However hearing from others who have joined I have only heard good reviews.

I thoroughly enjoy the fact that not all of our classes are lectures, we have 'life sciences' which is in smaller classes which make it more interactive. I dislike that some areas are taught to a better standard/in more detail than other areas.

Dentistry is different to most courses in that we begin to apply for our first year (dental foundation year) during our final year. The University help us a lot with our interviews and applications which is really helpful.

I really enjoy it. I have really enjoyed everything that I have done, from the night life to a few sports societies. I enjoy the course and i am definatelty happy that i chose plymouth to do it.

They are really good. Especially in LSRC and SDLE. It is also really amazing how we can use the John Bull building to practice our medical emergencies at anytime through a booking system. It would be amazing if we could have a similar system for SDLE.

Really good. EBL offers regular feedback as well as our RPA meetings. We also have regular competencies to see how well we are doing in SDLE. The uni itself offers a writing cafe in the babage building, which i intend to use for my upcoming essay.

I have never really got involved and I think this is because I have never really felt a need. I also dont really understand the role of the students union.

Growing up in a much bigger city, I thought plymouth would be dull and quiet. But it definitely isnt , and I feel it offers the best of both quiet and a big city feel.

I enjoy swimming and have attended ice skating a few times. From what i have experienced they are welcoming and enjoyable.

The thing I enjoy most is how interactive the teaching is. It isnt too traditional in that we have lecture after lecture, but instead it is split up into SDLE (practicing on phantom heads) ,LSRC (which involves us using skulls, looking at models as well as being able to easily ask a question to the tutor) and plenaries. However I often dislike how content covered in EBL doesnt necessarily match up with the LSRC's and plenaries in that case unit, as this can make it much more difficult to research without a basis.

I am happy I chose plymouth university for dentistry because it gives you the opportunity to practice practical dentistry from day 1. This is unlike other universities, which start in their third year. Also , they give us early exposure to patients (again within the first year) , which after the 5 years will help me better approach patients from a more holistic view.

I am really happy with my choice. I have had a few maintenance issues (such as a broken fridge and blocked sink) and they have come to fix it within that same day. The room is comfortable and spacious and is also very close to the uni!
