Best: - It's a face to face course - lectures do not read of the slide Worst - feeling lost when find work experience - not alot of work placement hours in my opion. It's 30 hours which doesn't seem like alot compared to the "real world"

Best aspects: One of the best things about my uni experience has been the support and sense of community. The teaching staff are approachable and genuinely invested in students’ learning, and there are plenty of opportunities for personal and professional growth. I’ve also really valued the range of facilities available (libraries, study spaces, online resources) which make it easier to succeed academically. Meeting people from different backgrounds and forming friendships has also been a highlight. Worst aspect (so far): Because I’ve only just started, I haven’t experienced too many negatives yet. The only slight challenge has been adjusting to the new environment and getting used to how everything is organised, but I’m sure this will get easier with time. What makes it a great place to study: It’s a welcoming environment, with passionate lecturers and strong student support services. The combination of academic knowledge and practical opportunities helps prepare us for the future. How it could be improved: Extra events or socials early on would help new students feel part of the community more quickly.

Best aspects: One of the best things about studying Criminology is how interesting and relevant the subject matter is. The course gives real insight into how crime, law, and society connect, and encourages critical thinking about current issues. The lecturers are knowledgeable and passionate, which makes the content engaging. I also like that the course combines theory with practical elements, such as case studies and research skills, which help develop transferable skills for the future. Worst aspects: Because it’s such a broad subject, some topics can feel very theory-heavy, and it can be difficult to see the practical application straight away. At times, the reading workload can be quite demanding, especially when several modules require extensive independent study at once.
