Staff have been amazing and supportive. The facilities are great.

I have loved the face to face lectures, but the online recordings have been extremely useful to reflect back on. I've enjoyed engaging in seminars, however, there are not many students that turn up to these sessions, which minimises the debates/opinions

LJMU is in a great location in the city centre, all the buildings are quite close to each other so walking from your accommodation or from building to building doesn’t take long at all. Most of the buildings are modern and have plenty of space to come to and study which is great when you want to get out of your room and study without distractions. How could it be improved? The John foster building can be hard to navigate but I know it’s an old building that they can’t really change so it’s nobody’s fault!

I love my course, ofcourse some modules aren’t as interesting as others but in every module the lecturers try their hardest to make the content engaging and interesting which makes it so much more encouraging to go to the lectures and listen to what they have to say. All the lecturers on my course are so helpful and genuinely want you to do your best and are more than happy to answer any questions you have about the course or the work they’ve set for you! My only criticism is that we don’t have much time actually spent in university, only around 8 hours per week and the rest is independent study so it can be quite lonely and you don’t get much of a chance to get to know your lecturers or course mates in person so going to lectures when you don’t know many people on your course can be daunting

I love that horizon had a range of different rooms you could book, so if you had a higher budget you could book a larger room. I had one of the bigger rooms when I stayed there and I loved my room so much i felt so happy in there and it felt 100% like my own safe space at university Not the fault of the accommodation providers but in the 10 person flats the kitchen would tend to get extremely messy because obviously there is a mix of people some who clean and some who don’t and those that didn’t want to clean would ruin the kitchen for the others who felt forced to clean up after them.
