York St John is a great place to study as it’s close to so many different things like supermarkets, the city centre and places to eat. Because of this it’s very tight knit compared to other universities meaning it’s soooo much easier to make friends and socialise with them. However with improvements, I’m not too sure. I love that YSJ have those weeks where they host like vintage sales and flower sales and everything and I absolutely love them so as long as it’s continuous then I have no qualms :)

I think in general course content for psychology/forensic psychology is a lot and can be overwhelming which is why I gave it a 3 however like as a general aspect I like the course content currently and it’s an insight into what I’m going to be learning whilst at university. In my course we’ve done both online and in class lectures and I don’t mind either of them. Personally, having gone through covid for high school and sixth form, I prefer the online lectures since I feel more comfortable doing it by myself and not distracted. However the seminars and workshops I believe work best in person because not everyone has access to computers and if there’s any issues with the technology or anything, people can personally ask the tutor and they can talk it through with them personally rather than as a class

Personally for room allocation, I was told I could keep my car at the accommodation as long as I called up in advance because it’s first come first serve. However when I called up (after I got my room allocation) they said it was reserved with the room itself so it’s upsetting since I do need my car. But apart from that I love the room that I’m currently in :) As well as this the only annoying thing for me and my flatmates is that we don’t have enough counter space for like chopping things up or anything so I think more of that would be better but apart from these two, I absolutely love it!

The uni is very centre so easily accessible however with it being York sometimes it gets very busy

Your able to get in contact with lecturers when you need and they respond quickly if there in office.

So close to the centre about 5 minutes from shambles.
