I am a part-time mature student and now in my fourth year of study. The location is very good due to the transport links and the university is close to the city. The support from staff has been excellent, I have always been able to get prompt responses to any queries and the door is always open. Covid was a tricky time, but the pastoral care and efforts to deliver the course as best they could didn't go unnoticed. Well being seems to be a major consideration and mental health has a high profile. The library is an outstanding resource, I have found the staff so helpful and the building is a great place to study. The campus has been undergoing major redevelopments, as a result the campus feels more modern,open and greener with an allotment style garden linked to Ryton Gardens. Has it been fun so far? Yes, absolutely and I would recommend studying here to any mature student. I can't identify any improvements, my experience thus far has been a rich and satisfying one. You will be made welcome here and supported throughout your course.

The lecturers deliver great teaching . My course is taught in-class and the atmosphere in lectures and seminars is relaxed. Contact with lecturers is good with one to one tutorials etc always available. The Aula course and community pages are an excellent resource, communication between lecturers and students works really well.
