My university experience has been overwhelmingly positive. The resources and support available have been outstanding, and I’ve always felt there was someone to turn to whenever I needed guidance. Studying counselling skills has been a fantastic choice, the content is genuinely engaging, and the way it’s delivered makes it easy to stay motivated and involved. The course has helped me grow academically by building my confidence in my studies, and personally by developing my self‑awareness, communication, and ability to support others.

The best aspect of my course has been the way it’s taught in class. The lectures, supportive lecturers, and clear structure make the content really engaging and easy to follow. Studying counselling skills has been a fantastic experience, and it complements psychology really well,together they’ve helped me grow academically and personally by building my confidence, self‑awareness, and communication skills.

Student support needs to be better e.g., funding when strikes happened - we should receive more support and return in money for all that we have missed.

Our experience on this course has been so up and down that it feels like we’ve had no consistency. We haven’t known where we’ve stood for a long time and I think that this needs to be recognised and we should be supported in that.
