The Focus on Wellbeing and inclusivity means the campus feels welcoming and safe. This environment has meant I've thrived as I was unafraid to ask for help when needed.

The best part is engaging with lecturers and my peers and learning from them during discussions. The worst is probably when information is in different locations, which can sometimes be confusing, as we have teams and Moodle. This means that, at times, I have missed some information.

Firstly, I believe Chester University is fantastic! From how welcoming it was during orientation week, the campus itself, the online platforms used during your studies and the great facilities. While it may appear like a small university, it has so many sporting and society opportunities; if you are brave and inspired enough, you could even make your own society too! What I really love about Chester is the fact that it is a smaller city, steeped in history, beautiful canals and walkways and a wide variety of top-notch cafes and restaurants. Not to mention a whole street of second-hand shops to ensure that you are dressed for every semester at a bargain. As a mature international student I was hesitant to come back to University but the staff were very helpful throughout the whole process, and I have loved coming and establishing a life away from home here. The one small component I think could be improved is time-tabling. It can be hard to find a routine and balance when the class timetable changes during the semester. I would prefer to have the classes on one day rather than spread out.

My course is online, but there is a great emphasis on doing more reading in your own time. I found in the first semester I did not, and realised that it is very important to stay on top of the course load and to increase your understanding. After learning this, I have found subsequent semesters a lot more interesting.
