A nice area of Liverpool but not as close to the city centre as other universities, after a night out its £15 in a taxi to get back (not too bad). The student union runs a pub quiz every Thursday with prizes up for grabs. They also run many other events throughout the week and all of them are published online and on their Instagram for you to find and choose what events to go to. Every few months or when there is a big holiday coming up (Christmas, Halloween) they run a party with a £1 entry with free food and 1 free drink. The prices for a pint at the student bar (OurPlace) is actually very cheap and are good pints that students can work at to earn a bit of money on the side without having to travel too far for a job outside of the University. When it comes to my course, the lecture rooms are good there is a microphone so you can always hear the lecturer no matter where you sit. all of the lecturers are really nice and will always listen if you have any problems / need help with coursework and I've heard its the same from my friends in maths, politics, psychology and conservational biology. The mental health support team are brilliant, you can just send an email in on the day and say something along the lines of "hi there, I need a drop in session with a councillor to talk things through" and they will reply to you and get you a session to go meet and sit down in a room with them to help you! if a drop in session isn't your thing and you would like long term support you can always email the same address and just ask for more sessions in the long run. The support for mental health at this university is brilliant. Finally, halls of residence. Now if you don't want to share with 11 people where it can get hectic sometimes and drama filled, opt for the en-suite rooms as it will be a smaller flat of people (4 or 5) you get an electric radiator that you can turn on and off and there's an elevator. You don't get an elevator in the cheaper 11 shared facilities accommodation and if you are on the top floor its 2 flights of stairs. The upsides of the cheaper shared accommodation is that you will meet more people, nights out can be more fun, if you have a solid friend group within the 11 people you can take it in turns to cook (saves you money trust me).

My course computer science is around 12 hours a week, it used to be 14 as in the first semester they teach maths on a Friday (it helps with the coding aspect). they teach python and java in the first semester too, it can be quite a lot trying to learn new coding languages at the same time. however, if you are committed and put in hours outside of lectures and coursework times it does get easier, that's something I wish I did when i first came to the university. The course itself is very future thinking and they are always changing it (not during the year don't worry), they change it within what the current industry of computer science needs and what it wants from graduates of university based on coding languages and expectations. Sometimes tutors don't get back to you within a few days, but when that happens just show up at their office and ask them any questions you need! They are always happy to see students show up to their office as it shows that you are committed to the course and want help to make sure you get the best result you can.

Oscar Romero. Well for me it can be quite hectic with the people in the halls but as long as you make a couple friends you will be okay and I have now so its better than it was when I started. The location of the halls is actually in a really nice area on campus, its near the on campus gym, and some of my friends lecture halls, but mine are across the road. The management of the rooms are good, if you are in shared accommodation, you get a cleaner to clean the 3 shared bathrooms and replenish the toilet paper rolls (big money saver). If there is an issue we just email estates and they send someone to fix it. For example my sink was blocked, I didn't have a plunger to unblock it, so I emailed estates and they sent someone down to unclog it. The Wi-Fi, its fast but you need a VPN to play any online games, a lot of people in my flat have consoles or PC's. With a console you have to use your mobile data to play online games and on PC you have to have a VPN to play online. It can get annoying, but the Wi-Fi is fast so it is what it is.

Overall University environment is nice and great. Teaching staff and support staff is good. The Uni Cafe needs new Pool Tables and cues.

The Best aspect of Course is that there is not much burden. The worst aspect is that students are not given choice when it comes to doing project or giving exam
