Like all other courses in any other universities, I struggled a bit when the course started. As time passes I got used to the well organised time table and things started to go smoothly than before. It is great to have decent talks from lecturers and tutors and know about real life problems that we might face when we start working. The BPTC course in City is wholly amazing.

Good but not perfect yet. We failed to obtain a microwave in the common room because a different type of current/electronic system is needed?

Useful. Resolutions or attempted resolutions would be informed to the students via email almost immediately. The staffs are never reluctant to help out when students need personal supports.

Great. I recieve updated frequently about exiting events from the students' unions.

Fairly yes. It is near to the Inns and it's very convenient for students who wants to study in the libraries after classes or attend important events of the Inns.

Wonderful.

The way lectures and tutorials were conducted effectively. Least : heavy work load squeezed in one whole week which makes us unable to produce a 100% effort work

They provide CV check services. Talks were held to help us out on applications of pupillage and also tips on what to expect during job interviews.

The best aspects of my experience have been the student union’s societies which provided a great way to meet new people and really enhanced my student experience on campus. I also enjoyed the wide range of facilities on campus, including study rooms, library and the cafe’s and shops within the campus itself. The worst aspects of my uni experience would be the over-reliance on online teaching. It really impacts my learning and removes the interactivity that is important when learning more practical things in Computer Science. I would also say that the food and products in campus can be expensive at times when compared to other places in the area.

The first year of my course was taught completely online which negatively impacted its value. There was minimal hands on demonstrations for modules that would’ve benefited from them. This year has been much better. All my lectures are in the morning and tutorials in the afternoon. The teachers who run our tutorials are good at explaining and breaking down the content that we cover in the lectures. Sometimes we cover more practical things related to our coursework in these tutorials. Overall, the quality of the modules largely varies from the lecturer who prepares our content. Some are very well explained and have a good balance of theory and practical work whilst others rely largely on the extra reading.
