The university has good support systems in place to help students but for mental well being appointments to talk to someone for support the appointments are nearly always fully booked up and is hard to find a time available to actually get the support you need.

It is a good course with good content but the lecturers are not always that helpful and it sometimes feels like they don’t always want you to succeed however others try their hardest to make sure everyone does as well as they can do it really varies depending on lecturer

Best experience is the careers guidance team, they are incredibly supportive and helpful. Worst part would be the university upper management, they rarely ever listen to students and are overall quite out of touch.

The labs and equipment you get given are amazing and have everything you can ever need. However, increasingly a lotof the equipment is for use in timetabled lessons only and you can't access in your free time as you used to be able to which is a shame.

The catering is quite good value as it only costs £1,000 a year more than non catered and for that you get 2 meals and day on weekdays and 1 on weekends for the entire university year which works out to just over £2 a meal which is very good value considering the range of options and that each meal comes with a dessert and a free drink. The various options you can select for halls are alsoquite accommodating to various cultures and religions. For instance you can request single gender accommodation or alcohol free halls. Wessex is a bit out the way compared to some of the halls closer to the uni like Glen but the buses are fairly regular and Wessex does end up being closer to the airport and is about 50m from a stain station.
