The people and lecturers are great and if you need help they are they to help you. I have made many friends and being a student ambassador of great part time work. The facilities we have to study are in good environments whether you work better in quiet or more active areas.

The lecturers respond to messages quickly and if you are unsure of anything they can give you extra sessions to help you. Extra group sessions have also been put on to help with specific assignments. Lecture material is kept up to date and I take part in our MPIU group which gives me real experience of working on cases whilst leading a team of students. During my undergraduate course I undertook periods of work placement in forensic labs to give me real life experience.

It has a purple flag status and the council is investing in new entertainment complexes to revamp the town. There are plenty of things to do including a variety of bars, restaurants, parks, cinemas, bowling etc. it’s a great place to hang out and socialise with friends. I have recently discovered a little coffee and doughnut place called heavenly grounds near avenham park.

The halls are great value for money and you can meet flatmates on Facebook before you even move in. The halls were quiet enough but still fun to interact with others in the accommodation. Even though it is self catering you can cook for each other. The flats are a great way to settle into first year of uni, to get your bearings and to make friends
