Campus has loads of bars, restaurants and a nightclub so it’s nightlife is than most universities and Colchester is both affordable and not too far from Norwich and London by train (both cities have great nightlife). Only downside is that the Ubuntu lab machines are so restrictive that you can’t install new dev tools which can be a real pain. The WiFi in the library is also a bit temperamental.

Foundation year is boringly easy, programming should encompass more of the total workload than it currently does.

Best is that teachers are subject matter experts in the subject they are teaching.

Requirement to be always present in the class room feels unnecessarily inflexible because content and session recordings are available online as well. I’m commuting two hours total per day which could be avoided quite often by using resources online.
