Add some algorithms course

The best experience of my uni life has definitely been the people. Being an international student there is always that extra anxiety when it comes to moving to a new school and country. From the university staff to accommodation staff to the other students the people at NTU are amazing. Very friendly and welcoming. This allowed me to make plenty of friends and to connect with people from all over not just the U.K. the staff at the university were extremely supported and helped me to settle down. After the initial settling down period , you really end up enjoying the uni life at NTU. Everything is walking distance away and perfect for when you are moving around the city with friends or just going on a chilled a Sunday stroll. Night life is top tier with something for every music taste and with plenty of themed nights keeps things interesting. I would say there are no real negatives in terms of the university but grocery shopping is one thing I have had a big issue with. There is no Tesco just Tesco express and this is a hassle because it usually does not offer the kind of range of food you’d expect from a big store. The other stores such as Aldi and Lidl and boy rides away from the city center and when you’ve done shopping for the next 3 weeks or so it becomes difficult to take all of it back on the bus. My first year was at Clifton campus and it was far from the city. Going out or just exploring the city was a bus or Uber ride.

In terms of course work I think it is structured brilliantly. We have an hour long lecture on Monday for most if not all modules and then throughout the week in various groups we will then come in for labs. These lab groups provide the perfect opportunity to ask about the lecture in more detail to do the practical side of it. There are then surgeries which offer the chance to get clarity on coursework and if anyone require more assistance. These are optional.

The accommodation was decent. Everything was great apart from the size of the rooms. They were tiny and felt like a jail cell. It had the best location as it was right on campus and every lecture was just a two minute walk away. Paying for laundry was new to me but was not too expensive which I liked. The management was excellent and the office was open 24 hours in case there was anything that needed their attention
