I have enjoyed my experience massively and I have found it has opened me up as a person and I look a lot more positively towards the future because of it. I have met multiple groups of friends through my hall, my course, and sport.

The Computer Science department has its own building with several 24 hour labs, plus multiple 24 hour study spaces spread over campus. The library is large and remains open 24/7 over the exam seasons. There two gyms, a swimming pool, and multiple shops/cafes. Campus is patrolled 24/7 by security and they also patrol and attend incidents off campus in areas with lots of students

You are assigned a personal academic tutor who (generally) remains the same throughout your course. Every hall has a team of wardens in-hall 24/7 during term times. There is a dedicated student support service for all needs e.g financial issues, mental health etc. There is a well staffed GP practice on campus serving university members only

The facilities are very good, offer lots of day and night events. Student representation is good, with student ideas regularly being implemented on campus

The uni is a 10-15 minute walk from the town centre. The vast majority of private accommodation falls within this walking time. All on-campus accommodation is conveniently located to lectures/campus amenities. Off-campus university accommodation is < 5 mins walk to campus

There are hundreds of sports clubs and societies

There is a good mix of lecture time and tutorials/labs, and the split is tailored appropriately to each module

All courses have an optional placement year, and dedicated placement staff are assigned to each department/school to support the application process. The careers office holds lots of events and workshops for increasing employability. There are 2 large scale careers fairs every year, and many smaller departmental/school based ones
